We saw these (mostly unopened) in the area of Deschutes Falls, but also in the Bald Hills.

This is one of the few opened flowers that we saw, though in another week there will be hundreds of this lovely native wildflower in bloom.

Lanceleaf tickseed (Coreopsis lanceolata).

That's the name of the flowers, not a commentary on the season. The botanical name is Claytonia lanceolata, a very common spring wildflower in our area.
