This was where we began our hike to Balanced Rock in Big Bend National Park the afternoon we arrived in the park.

Taken on the trail to the top of Winchester Mountain from the area where we stopped to photograph the sunrise. I believe that the peak silhouetted by the rising sun is Big Bosom Butte, though I take no responsibility for the name. The main attraction was Mount Baker which we photographed endlessly in the light of the rising sun. I have so many pictures to post that I am going to post several a day for a while. Please do not feel obligated to comment on them all.
