When in Grand Canyon last spring we hiked part of the Bright Angel trail down into the canyon. This was the view from the trail and more of the trail is visible near the center of the photo.

These horses are metal sculptures on a hilltop above the Wanapum Vista Overlook near the bridge where Highway 90 crosses the Columbia River. They are made of welded steel plates and are the work of Spokane artist David Govedare.

These are full-size metal sculptures of horses poised on a bluff overlooking the Columbia River at the place where Interstate Highway 90 crosses the Columbia. The following picture shows the whole group from the car park at the turnoff near the bluff.

As Old Highway 30 runs east toward Troutdale it climbs out of the gorge and near the top comes to Vista House, a memorial to the Oregon pioneers and a great place for some awesome views of the gorge.
