RHH's photos with the keyword: box canyon

Box Canyon is near the southeast end of Mount Rainier National Park. As is obvious from the picture it is very narrow, especially at the upper end and very difficult to photograph as a result. We stopped there briefly on our way to the Grove of the Patriarchs at the end of our day in Rainier.

Leaving Paradise we traveled down Stevens Canyon making a number of stops along the way and a lengthy stop in the area of Box Canyon where this photo was taken. By the time we reached this area it was late in the day and the weather had turned threatening. Box Canyon is in the southeastern part of Mount Rainier National Park.
