These photos were all taken in what was once the convent of Mission San José in San Antonio, Texas. The convent is now roofless but the walls and arches remain and are decorated with plants and flowers. Mission San José was one of five Spanish missions established along the San Antonio River in the early eighteenth century.

Coastal Hibiscus

We saw these trees along the Daintree River and again up at Cape Tribulation. They are one of Australia's native Hibiscus. The flowers have a purple center that is not very visible because they do not open widely and tend to hang like bells.
