Taken from Murphy Point in the Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands National Park, the formation in the distance is Candlestick Tower and the white-rimmed canyon that through which the Green River Runs.

Last spring, on our way to Texas and Big Bend National Park, my wife and I spent a few days in Canyonlands National Park in Utah. We plan to be pack there in early May with our oldest daughter to do some hiking and backpacking there. This photo was taken in the northern part of the park, the Island in the Sky district, and is of a formation known as the Candlestick.
