Church, Sulphur Springs, Texas

Excuse the poor quality, but this building no longer exists in Sulphur Springs, so it is worth preserving an image. A very handsome building. The name of the church is worn off, unfortunately.

1910 Yes, those are sweet potatoes, not chicken parts. This image is heartbreaking now, but at the time it may have been thought to be funny or even nostalgic. My guess is that it was meant to be an ordinary view of rural life.

Curious leather postcard

Yes, this is a postcard. It was stamped and delivered. Date and writing has worn off. The quotation is from a poem by Thomas More. Was this meant to also be used as a bookmark?

I Can't Tell Why I Love You

Embroidered postcard

The top part where it says 1918 is a flap, allowing something to go in the pouch. Wouldn't anything fall out during mail processing?

The card was cut by someone wanting to collect the possibly exotic foreign stamp.

1911 A peculiar architectural style. I wonder if that building still stands.
