Wahrscheinlich war Junia eine freigelassene jüdische Sklavin. Erwähnt ist sie im Römerbrief. Paulus erwähnt dort Andronicus und Junia als "angesehene Apostel". Juli 2012 weihte der Bischof Dr. Matthias Ring die Apostelin-Junia-Kirche ein. Zur Einweihung kamen fast 350 Menschen – einige davon aus Österreich, den Niederlanden und der Schweiz. ➽ Der Bau ist ungewöhnlich: Der Holzraum ist fast würfelförmig. Kein Fenster lenkt den Blick ab nach außen. Und dennoch ist der Raum hell. Der neun Meter hohe Raum konzentriert sich auf die Mitte und öffnet sich ausschließlich nach oben, zum Himmel. Vier Rundbögen spenden reichlich sanftes Licht.
