➽ Der Kuhsee ist ein künstlich geschaffener See im Augsburger Stadtteil Hochzoll. Der Name Kuhsee entstand dadurch, dass an dem einstmaligen, dem Lech angeschlossenen Altwasser städtische Kuhherden zum Tränken geführt wurden. Bereits der Altwasserarm wurde im Volksmund als Kuhsee bezeichnet. _____________________________ ➽ The "Kuhsee" (cow lake) is an artificial lake in the Augsburg district Hochzoll. The name "Kuhsee" originated from the fact that the pristine oxbow lake connected to the river Lech was a watering place for the urban herds of cows. Already the former oxbow lake was popularly referred to as "Kuhsee" (cow lake).

Das kann sie auch, denn die Aussicht zählt zu den schönsten Aussichten Augsburgs (siehe auch PiPs) . Es liegt mit seiner Glas-Terrasse direkt am Kuhsee. Nebenan schaukeln romantisch ein paar Ruderboote. And this is possible, because the view is one of the most beautiful views of Augsburg (see also PiPs) . The restaurant lies with its glass terrace directly at the "Kuhsee" (cow lake).
