➽ O FORTUNA ♫ ♪ ♪ ♫ ♩ ♬ _______________________________________ ➽ Der Tiefe Brunnen befindet sich im Burghof der Festung Marienberg bei Würzburg. Den Brunnen umgibt ein Brunnenhaus, auch Brunnentempel genannt. Die bauliche Umfassung des Brunnens wurde im Auftrag von Julius Echter um 1600 durch Jakob Wolff dem Älteren errichtet, um das Wasser vor Verunreinigung zu schützen. Es handelt sich um einen achteckigen Zentralbau, der außen mit Köpfen von Fabeltieren als Wasserspeier geschmückt ist. Auf dem Dach ist die Bronzefigur der Fortuna zu sehen.
