➽ Latona-Brunnen ( PiPs ) vor dem Schloss Herrenchiemsee Das "Bassin de Latone" erinnert an die römische Göttin Latona: Mit ihren kurz zuvor geborenen Zwillingen Apoll und Artemis, Kinder Jupiters, kommt Latona, von Jupiters Ehefrau vertrieben, nach Lykien, eine Landschaft in Kleinasien. Sie ist erschöpft von der drückenden Hitze und der langen Reise und sie hat großen Durst. Zufällig trifft die Notleidende auf einenTümpel, doch die Bauern lassen die Verdurstende nicht trinken. Mit ihrer Bitte um etwas Wasser für sich und ihre Kinder, findet sie kein Gehör. Die Bauern bleiben unerbittlich - und am Ende trifft sie der göttliche Zorn: Latona verwandelt sie alle in Frösche. ___________________________ ➽ Fountain of Latona ( PiPs ) in front of Herrenchiemsee Castle The "Bassin de Latone" is reminiscent of the Roman goddess Latona: With her recently born twins Apoll and Artemis, children of Jupiter, comes Latona, expelled from Jupiter's wife, to Lycia, a landscape in Asia Minor. She is exhausted from the oppressive heat and the long journey and she is very thirsty. By chance, the suffering woman found a pond, but the farmers don't let them drink. With her request for some water for herself and her children, she finds no hearing. The peasants remain relentless - and in the end they meet the divine wrath: Latona transforms them all into frogs.

➽ Im Vordergrund die Ruinenstätte des Tempels der Artemis in Ephesos . Sie liegt am Fuß des Burghügels Ayasoluk unterhalb der Zitadelle und der Johanneskirche (PiP) - für mehr Infos, siehe Links in den Notizen. Der Tempel war der olympischen Gottheit Artemis (Göttin der Jagd, des Waldes und Hüterin der Frauen und Kinder) gewidmet. Er soll von der Amazonenkönigin Otrere gegründet worden sein und gehörte als größter Tempelbau zu den 7 Weltwundern der Antike . ➽ O FORTUNA ♫ ♪ ♪ ♫ ♩ ♬ _______________________________________ ➽ Der Tiefe Brunnen befindet sich im Burghof der Festung Marienberg bei Würzburg. Den Brunnen umgibt ein Brunnenhaus, auch Brunnentempel genannt. Die bauliche Umfassung des Brunnens wurde im Auftrag von Julius Echter um 1600 durch Jakob Wolff dem Älteren errichtet, um das Wasser vor Verunreinigung zu schützen. Es handelt sich um einen achteckigen Zentralbau, der außen mit Köpfen von Fabeltieren als Wasserspeier geschmückt ist. Auf dem Dach ist die Bronzefigur der Fortuna zu sehen. Das ursprüngliche Schloss wurde um 1550/60 gebaut und nach Zerstörung durch die Schweden 1648 neu errichtet. Zum Schloss führt eine alte Ahornallee direkt auf das quadratische Torhaus zu, über dem das Wappen der heutigen Besitzer angebracht ist. ____________________ ➽ Castle Hammel is located in the administrative district Augsburg.
