➽ Normalerweise sind die bunten Vorhängeschlösser (PiP) , mit denen sich Paare Liebe und Treue schwören, der Hingucker, aber nun wird der Eiserne Steg ein Garten! Aktivisten der Initiative Transition Town Regensburg hängen über 200 Blumentöpfe an das Brückengeländer. Blumen, aber auch viele Kräuter und Nutzpflanzen wie Basilikum, Tomaten und Kartoffeln werden – eingepflanzt in alte Tetrapaks oder leere Bierfässchen – am Brückengeländer befestigt. Zum Teil hatten die Aktivisten die Pflanzen selbst gezogen, andere wurden von verschiedenen Gärtnereien und Baumärkten gespendet. Activists of the Transition Town initiative Regensburg hang over 200 flower pots on the parapet. Flowers, but also many herbs and crops such as basil, tomatoes and potatoes - planted in empty beer kegs or old Tetra Packs - are attached to the bridge railing.
