Skipper's photos with the keyword: sea

This is again the sight of the coast of Masua (which I posted few days ago). You can see the same rock called "Pan di zucchero" in the distance. This walk path was once the road which lead to a mine, just above a high cliff. In one of the tunnels of the mine they have set a small bar-café (visible to the right here but closed) and the road has been paved and turned into a very spectacular promenade. December has been an incredible warm month here. I had never seen the sea like that and felt so hot.

A beach in the gulf of Cagliari. The objects with the shape of a ball visible on the sand are called locally: sea potatoes, but actually they are not potatoes nor fruits but the result of the waves which compact some species of sea-weeds into a balls and then bring them to the beach at high tide.

One of my favourite places for spending some time by the sea. We decided to go there the first of the year 2012 and it was a glorious day.

The beach of Funtanamare, in south westerly Sardinia. Just at right of this lovely beach there was a mine, now closed. This was the pipe which discharged the washing water of the ore into the sea.

The cliffs of Punta Menga near Porto Pino in the south-westerly coast of Sardinia.

Castelsardo is a small town in northern Sardinia. The old medieval town is built on top of this hill and promontory (you can see the castle from here) while the buildings you see below are the modern one. Founded by the Republic of Genova in 1200 has been in the past a prosperous town. Recently has become a popular summer holidays destination.
