Another look at both the lighthouse and the old Point Lynas boat jetty pier. This is where the old Pilot boats would call and pick-up/drop-off the pilots to guide shipping around this dangerous coast, to and from the port of Liverpool.
The lighthouse standing like a small fort here with those castellation’s and even a cross in the wall. See PiP.
Enjoy full screen.

Sitting on a point of land about three miles east of Almwch on the Isle of Anglesey. A pilot station was established on the point in 1766 to guide ships entering and leaving Liverpool, with an associated lighthouse added in 1836. It is still in use with its reflector seen here behind the circular windows.
We picnicked just near this spot where looking up you also see the small coastguard hut. The PiPs shows the view from here back to the mainland and the Snowdonia mountain range, and I also show a snap of the playful dolphin from this very same spot, captured whilst we ate.
Enjoy full screen.

What can be nicer than to walk a coastal path with borders like this. Enjoy these wild flowers showing mainly orange crocosmia in the foreground.
This taken on Point Lynas here on the Island of Anglesey. We also see the old jetty that allowed pilot boats to come alongside. The pilots guided shipping in and out of Liverpool, still some distance to the east from here.
Enjoy full screen.

A view towards Point Lynas Lighthouse here on the Island of Anglesey, North Wales.
This is a splendid coastal walk with the highlight being the lighthouse area itself where we saw dolphins (or porpoises) playing in the waters.
Enjoy full screen and have a good week.
