A short drive inland from the seaside resort of Tywyn sits the ruins of Castle Bere upon an impressive hill. Now a sorry shadow of its former glory but still a joy to explore. ‘Castell y Bere is a Welsh castle near Llanfihangel-y-pennant in Gwynedd, Wales.
