A chance encounter on a local winter walk. Quite grainy, I am afraid as it was dark on the river resulting in this taken at 6400 ISO and then having to be severely cropped but I liked the bird. “The Grey Wagtail is more colourful than its name suggests, with slate grey upper parts and distinctive lemon yellow under-tail. Its tail is noticeably longer than those of Pied and Yellow Wagtails.
