As we walk beyond the Yorkshire Dales village of Middleham we pass this magnificent tree. It really was very big but despite it distinctive long leaves I cannot truly identify it. I also took a photo just of the centre part with the old barn thinking that was the major catch but no, I find I like this better. See PiP. Nicer full screen. Enjoy the day.

After having explored the interior it is now time to continue our walk, up and beyond the village. “Middleham Castle is a ruined castle in Middleham in Wensleydale, in the county of North Yorkshire, England. It was built by Robert Fitzrandolph, 3rd Lord of Middleham and Spennithorne, commencing in 1190. The Yorkshire Dales has an abundance of gates and fences, along with walls and old ruined barns. Here we see such a scene just a few miles from the castle village of Middleham taken on a round walk starting from the castle. Nice full screen Have a good weekend.
