A vintage view from this popular peak overlooking England’s largest lake: Windermere. In the distance we see the village of Ambleside guarded by the peaks of ‘Fairfield Peak’ (snowy outcrops) on the left , ‘Red Scree’ centre and ‘Ill Bell’ (pointed Peak) on the right. On this side of the lake, in the woods, we can just about see Wray castle too. See PiP Enjoy.

As I look out again on this cold January morning, I see grey heavy skies and very wet roads and grass. So here is an attempt to bring back summer. One taken some years back in South Wales. Enjoy.
