The new spider and collimation is paying dividends. This is 98% the way there in terms of star quality and focus. For the very first time i have been able to collimate the mirrors with the eyes while on the mount so it closer. you have seen this galaxy before but not in so much detail. This is well worth looking at the photo large.

This is the very last photo from the ED80 that has taught me so much but will be retired most likely sold off or given away. I am starting the harrowing learning of using a reflector telescope. the good part the focuser and camera train are the very same as was on the ED80. I had a list of things to buy just to get the scope operational it has been a slow progress to not in stock or slow deliveries, my last part lands wednesday next week
The biggest part is learn how two line up the two mirrors so you get a photos. What I am changing to is a 200 F4 PREMIUM PHOTO QUATTRO REFLECTOR OTA its not a lens as such but all mirrors. I will be changing from a 420mm to an 800mm. This will be a while off as I get use to lining up but for the next it will be a shot from my fathers prime Nikon 85mm F1.8 D lens of Antares and the Blue horse.
the ever changing view we get of space and the things we challenge ourselves This Is a shot that took three night to get and it was hard fought with clouds. now we are in a good week plus of rain a clouds just to remind you we have our feet firmly place on this earth..

A galaxy that is very faint and was not the best to do as it was small and in moon light. This really was more done to try out the second camera and Nina. Happy to say all went well but for this rather dim view that is BEST Viewed LARGE. The mount flipped perfectly, Nina is getting to a program that is easy to use. This is a better target done in Narrow band with coloured filters but I am not there yet.
This was taken over two nights and sits not far under the String Of Pearls Galaxy. this is my last two under clear skies. This in a shot for Ko.

The first real result in Nina. the only snag I have hit and cant figure out why the mount is not flipping over to the other side at meridian. The two night that this ran I had to stop and restart after the time 12:15 am had passed so it set up correctly as the auto flip did not work. We think one of two things the set limits for the flip to happen where not being picked up, so I have redone them manually the setting of the limits. Cable snag but I don't believe so as there is enough cable now there is even more. Ps the setting of the limits manually the mount flipped correctly.
This in a shot for Ko and the next Galaxy.

Almost a year ago Almost to the day My first ever photo with a dedicated astro camera was taken. it was not without the huge effort of Carlos Taylor to tame the Computer and all the programs. NGC253 a year apart and a different camera(1520mm POV) but same scope and target. to look back is to see just how far you have come is a good thing you see just how more rewarding this type of photos are. I am happy that I have been able to do the target and effort of Carlos Taylor and more than a few others out there giving support, some justice. never in my wildest dream thought I would be able to produce an image like this. this was the level I always wanted to shot astro photos from the start.
For those wondering like myself just why the different orientation between the two shot this I started early the first was started very late after fixing the computer.
QHY183C -10c 136 shot 10 min over three nights( one of those set on auto when i was out shooting the milky way well away from home) night 4 is burn off smoke and clouds so I post some 22 hours of shot time.

I think a little past the limit in size of the 900mm more a 1500mm shot to get the detail. this has been cropped a little more than the usual stacking artifacts. when I went out with the grand daughter this was at home 58 shot 10 min all night long stopped at 5:20 am next morning. it was a case of waiting for this to rise above the shed to start.
I was shown how to edit this galaxy. as we still can not replace best way I can show the reality.

First Night on my own I have yet to create the Back files that go with these photos. The mount and program performed flawlessly. 600MM skywatcher telescope.
