My wife chose the day to set up the tree, It looks cool but on a 41c day it was any thing but, lucky nothing here melts. Even the snow was Melt free around this tree. Enjoy the light show. My first night out of lock down I took Grandsons Girlfriend out under the stars as she had never seen the Milky way. Other than my photos and they are "never real", it is never like this. Oh but it is. The good part is I found some one willing to give a shot a go even if it meant standing still for two shots. Never write off a shot that never went the way "you planned it to go". Nothing like a night under the stars. A very complex set of lighting some not even planned for..............

The fishing spot a very long point of land in the middle of Massey Bay. 9% Moon while a night to capture The Milky way bow It was also a teaching night. I was asked can you teach me how to use my camera. With a request like that how could I not, Yes they came along for the view and learning. First time for both of them but one camera I could not get speed down past 1/2 sec to 20 sec so only could watch on. PIP shows the students camera as we move out of the strong wind Behind some bushes. Nikon D90, my lens, my tripod, 30 seconds set up and L bracket to get the same view. Yes it is that easy..... Not for every one But for me For me to remember just why I own and enjoy a camera.

I have been confined to my laptop as the desk top is playing up. I found this shot I had edited but never posted. I only had the 14mm but I was able to borrow my night shooter 16-35 mm lens. A look back in time.

Looking back through last months photos I found this shot I did not see. In all my years taking photos at this spot I have never been this lucky. Trucks are always a problem at night as they head West along the highway below the Rocks. there high beams are so strong they ruin a shot as they come up the straight to these rocks then turn North. how lucky can you get the Rock is Perfectly lit from behind.

the fountain in 40 years has changed what was orange is now green and the reverse. I have the old slides shot.

My wife decided it was time to put up a tree in our new home (one year). Hope I have done the arrangement justice in a corner of our home.

A concept shot. Surround the tree in a halo. Easier said than done when you cant see the Southern Cross or the Pointers. this was method three as it was all I could see. I am out in a field in grass heads chest height( snake territory) Electric fence at my back. This is only 40 of the total 50 shots before the clouds closed the night far to early but thats part or Astro photography. I am chuffed my head shot you can see before you in all its unexpected glory. PIP three years earlier.

The prime verses zoom.

This was a shot that did not work with a nice long exposure , all the colours blended together so the lighting was white. to get the colours I had to use a very fast shutter speed so the colours could not blend together and you got these marvelous group of colours. Enjoy large.

The building Bridge and walk way lit up pink For International ladies day. This is a 8 shot panorama of the new Stadium and foot bridge the water was not 100% flat but you got an excellent reflection of colours . Enjoy large
