You have to admire someone willing to cycle across the Nullarbor. No one coming either way but us in the bus.....

The photo may not do it justice. You are looking a one piece of granite about 6m x 10m its no small Rock. Thank fully they left it as part of the natural landscape of Albany. The interesting thing is its not quite so dog like from the other side.

The Title seemed very fitting for the 24 Km of dirt road to get to the winery.

I have always wanted to see just how the camera would see a car trip in the dark at 5:40 am most cases I am the driver but on this occasion I was not. So this is an educated guess press the shutter button with the camera on the dash of the car for 30 sec @ 103 km/H following a car transport truck. Its the dark trees way out in the bush that line the roads. I am thinking I should have shot on high beam may be to get a more expanded view...

Yes you know this place and have see it before many night time photos have come from here.

The lovely south west on a hot day. Same road different views.

High up on the side of the hill you get to look out over little Huia to the Huia Look out on the far side of the Harbour.

A huge view of just how alone you are out in that landscape but I still was not game to stand in the middle of the road for the shot a full 360 degrees of landscape. I stopped to get a photo of one of the huge termite mounds so took this looking to the Karatha landscape Iron hills. The shot does not come with the 43c or the very high humidity the hire car to the right and port Hedland.

In Australia A Willy Willy is what the Americans call a twister(tornado). As I was changing from 150-600 to 24-120 I could see this move down the road to the truck. This is what you get over in NZ this is not extreme wide shot but look at the corner none of this in WA.

The freeway north is use by cars the south only by bicycles for about 6 hours.

I rode down the free way to capture images of the freeway ride day. For the whole morning the southern side of the freeway was only for bicycle's.
