A due passi dal centro storico di Viterbo, il Risveglio ha un impatto incredibile su chi la vede per la prima volta. Qusta gigantesca scultura è formata da diversi pezzi sistemati in modo tale da formare una sola figura di titano che emerge dal terreno. Era prezioso il mestiere del calderaio (lu cuallaral'): realizzava oggetti indispensabili alla vita quotidiana: la callar', una pentola di varie dimensioni in rame stagnato che serviva per lessare la pasta; la sartasc'n' che serviva per friggere, ecc. Era cura del calderaio ricoprire internamente i recipienti di rame con uno strato di stagno per evitare che si ossidassero, rendendo tossiche le pietanze (l'operazione si ripeteva ogni qual volta lo stagno si consumava). Tutti questi oggetti facevano parte del corredo domestico e si appendevano ai chiodi di un telaio rettangolare di tavola appeso alla parete. Nel cuore di Expo, all’incrocio tra il Cardo e il Decumano, si alzano ai quattro lati di Piazza Italia le sculture alte dieci metri disegnate da Daniel Libeskind.
