Con i suoi 25 metri di altezza l’antica torre domina e protegge la città: un tempo serviva come punto di avvistamento dei nemici e luogo strategico per la difesa del borgo. La torre possiede un’insolita peculiarità: dall’esterno della cinta muraria ha tutte le caratteristiche di un’imponente struttura difensiva con una facciata massiccia e strette feritoie mentre dall’interno del paese, assume l’aspetto di un’abitazione alta quattro piani con finestre fiorite e decorazioni in legno.
