SC69 – Seasons The photos of fungi were taken at Attingham Park, and the flower photos were taken in our garden. At one point there were 4 Red Admirals basking in the warm autumn sunshine in the garden. By the time I got the camera only 2 remained on the dahlias. The seasons are getting mixed up because of climate change I think.

Clematis viticella 'Emilia Plater'. Very easy to grow. Prune right back to 1 foot before the end of February and watch it grow. This is about as far as I can get with a camera at the moment - just outside our back door.

Saturday Self Challenge: Take a photo of something that represents New Year's Eve to you or of something you're looking forward to in the new year. A garden can sometimes bring disappointment or frustration, but there is always anticipation and pleasure throughout the whole year. Today it's a bit bedraggled, but the promise for 2018 is already there. The PiPs show Helleborus orientalis taken today, and also some the seasonal changes throughout the year.
