After 36 years in a long term relationship, Adrian and I decided to have a civil partnership ceremony yesterday, 13th January 2024. Our two witnesses, Sally and Bernard, have been our very loyal friends for over 50 years

Norwich rooftops. World Photography Day 2024

To be honest, the photo of James, our youngest grandson, taking a breather by Cow Tower along the riverside path, would have been my choice for World Photography Day 2024, but it is a personal photo and so not really for public viewing. He is a 15 year old and quite autistic, as well as being much taller than Adrian and me, and he now walks much faster than we do

Adrian was in charge of the camera while I went for a paddle. I wondered why I ran out of battery charge that evening.

Whatever the weather ....

The Bure Valley Railway is a 15 in (381 mm) minimum gauge visitors' attraction in Norfolk, England. It was created on the original disused full-gauge bed of a defunct passenger service to incorporate a new, adjacent pedestrian footpath. The railway runs from Wroxham to Aylsham (9 miles or 14.5 kilometres) and is Norfolk's second longest heritage railway. It uses both steam and diesel locomotives. It's 10.30 and I have just come in for a cool drink and a rest after doing 2 hours of gardening, cutting back crispy perennials and overblown roses. The work isn't finished but it's now too hot for me outside. This is where I'd love to be now - paddling in the North Sea. :-))

Adrian, Liz and James walking on an almost deserted beach on the Norfolk Coast. There were quite a few mature seals frolicking in the sea, but the PiP shows a young seal having a rest.

Today's Saturday Self Challenge is: Love: anything that symbolizes love to you. I love our family and I love the sea, so here we have a little bit of both.
