Intolerance in ourselves

Tolerance is a good thing, of course, but IMHO the thing that prevents us from taking and sharing better pictures is intolerance in ourselves. We are so easily customed and weathered to take photos of things all others are taking, seeing things in the same manner as we have always seen, trying to comply with whatever technical standards ever concocted and desperately fearing to make any mistakes whatsoever, that we easily become intolerant to anything different, anything that diverge from the well threaded path.
In the end of the day, if the photo does not have a standpoint of its own, no photo sharing site won't make it any better no matter how many bells and whistles the site has or how tolerant the viewers there are.
Of course there are some basic rules based on how our eyes work and our psychology of perception, but they are all for breaking; the battle against intolerance should take place every time we are about to press that pesky shutter button.
