About this group
This is a group to collect photographs of the Great Western Railway, its locomotives, rolling stock, stations and other items of interest. The GWR was one of four large railway companies, formed by grouping together smaller railway companies from across England, Scotland and Wales, in 1923. The GWR was the only company pre-grouping company that retained its name, absorbing mainly small companies.
