Bus stop on N124, HBM

a comfortable bus stop ;-) excellent perspective, compo and clarity !

A metal-clad bus stop...............if you use that in this hot weather, you'll end up baking!

Nicely composed, with good leading lines from the roadway. It's nice to see some tall, green trees in the frame and I love the colour of the sky!

At one time I would occasionally ride an early morning bus up to the airport. Then COVID hit and the buses stopped - but I wasn't flying anywhere then, anyway. It has started up again, but the one time I used it, the bus was smaller, uncomfortable and quite crowded. Now I drive up and park in a well-kept parking lot that shuttles people to the airport. This unfortunately wastes gasoline. Progress is not always in a straight line.

Contradictions of modern life...

It is difficult to maintain a bus line when there is only one bus a day. Nice idea for the challenge.

In Winter time there are more often, but in Summer just holiday people dare visit our too hot to dry for them area, they stay by the sea with the croud and milder temperatures...

And quite a walk to the closest village !

the same in Finland, a lot of buses in the countryside are not working anymore.

A pity... but...

That leaves a long time if you just miss the bus. ;-))

A poignant photo- our countryside has the same problems; hardly any transport except for school buses. Everyone uses cars...

And we are suposed to be more sustainable...

At least the metal cover gives some shade while waiting for the bus (and even stops the occasional drop of rain), though in the heat of summer it would certainly bake. HBM and have a good week, Isabel.

It is quite a remote location but the shelter and bench are well placed to be on the shady side of the road. Best wishes.

Another bus line to ad to your collection, have no idea of the schedule, know that in August it is reduced to one a day each way, so I have been told but did not check...

Great capture Isabel. Interesting to know. Rural areas here are the same, very few buses. Only the cities have good transport.

Thought after covid maybe some people would desire a simpler calmer life… seems not many…
