NINFA

This was supposed to be for SC64: “ Sliding Door Moment - Something in your week, which makes a difference. This can be reality, symbolic, or literal. ”
But I guess I didn’t understand the challenge description, I thought it was meant to be the philosophical interpretation of a sliding door moment, not only showing sliding doors which would have been the easy part.
Looking at what is being posted I see I got it wrong for the challenge, JPMarcello is like me, he didn't understand what was asked. So we skip.
++++++
According to Gillian's comment and suggestion to add this to the Sunday Challenge... I did.
++++++
As many of you know Estrelinha, the dog of my life, passed away in January 2022.
After a lifetime with dogs, for reasons of health and responsibility I decided that I wouldn't have any more, except for an old dog from the shelter that nobody wanted to adopt, to give it a good end of life.
Ninfa will be 9 in January, she spent more than 5 and a half years at the shelter. Even the vet in charge doesn't understand why she hasn't been adopted: she's sweet, smart, beautiful and well-behaved.
Here she is, with my hand close to her, on the sofa, enjoying a new fulfilled life.
And I'm fine, because for my balance I need to know that I'm doing good, for people as well as for animals.

The term a sliding doors moment became a term popularised in the late 20th-century meaning seemingly inconsequential moments that nonetheless alter the trajectory of future events... Although the term originated from the 1998 film Sliding Doors, written and directed by Peter Howitt and starring Gwyneth Paltrow, the concept was explored earlier by J. B. Priestley in his 1932 play Dangerous Corner. Wikipedia.
