IN OUR DRY LAND EACH TREE IS TREASURED.
FOUND THIS ONE 5 YEARS AGO, NOT TALLER THAN ONE FINGER. PROTECTED AND SIGNALIZED IT AND HERE IT IS.
WE DON’T WATER TREES IN NATURE: THEY HAVE TO GROW DEEP ROOTS TO SURVIVE DRY SEASON, WATERING THEM WOULD MAKE THEM LOOSE THEIR NATURAL DEFENSES.

It will surely survive better than most of humans, maybe still there when humanity will be exterminated... ?

I'd like to live that long if I were healthy and happy ;-) But maybe even then I wouldn't want to, it might get boring ;-)) Reminds me of poor Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged ;-)))

Very like many parts of Australia too, Isabel. Things need to survive on (scarce) natural water.

They are adapted, nature adapts amazingly to conditions, better than we do !

This is Holm Oak I believe? It's good to see in hanging in there........a bit parched, but still alive and growing, albeit quite slowly.

Andy would know these from hight up in the Spanish granite!

Quercus ilex, so… is it Holm oak?
They grow very slowly here and we care not to destry them by accident, that is why people mark and protect little ones to be found.

It is!

Such a great idea to mark and protect the young trees..........we need them..!!
