Isto é que é fazer jus ao nome Vascão...devia dar para fazer a ribeira toda em rafting, uma oportunidade rara que quase de certeza ninguém aproveitou...
Não é fácil adivinhar, gosto de todas, na do meio, gosto do verde dos ramos de oleandro, na de baixo, da força da corrente naquele "rápido" e da cor dos arbustos despidos.
Belas fotos, Isabel, lá diz o povo, sempre cheio de sabedoria, que não há fome que não dê em fartura...neste caso sede...
Venham de lá mais uns abacates...

Foi uma enchente brutal e espectacular, mas como depois desta próxima noite, em que mais uma enxurrada está prevista, não vem mais, vai baixar.
Rafting... não me parece, e com o recolher obrigatório, mesmo se aqui pouco se respeita (só velhos, tão poucos para tanto espaço...), as pessoas deram a sua voltinha mas sem mais.
Os produtores de abacates esfregam as manitas...

A great set of images hand held is fine the exposure gives a sense of movement instead of freezing and not long enough to give that polished look. I rarely use my tripod but my camera has image stabilisation which is a help, I think you probably like the second one, I like the main image because I like how the water appears through the trees, is it coming from peatland with the brown tint to the water

Well as my old hands don't shake yet I almost never carry the tripod. I am not very keen on the polished look, one time it is funny but it is too artificial. I just had fun trying to see what would come out with a 1/8s speed...

A good sequence of shots Isabel....plus you must have been rock steady... I figured that your favourite pic. would maybe feature your four legged friend somewhere in the foreground .. but alas I no see her / him...... so I am stumped............

Toujours intéressant les vitesses lentes mais je préfère quand c'est pas trop présent comme sur la dernière ou le filé donne de la dynamique à la furie de l'eau

La dernière est ma préférée comme certains l ont deviné ... je ne suis pas fan des phptos au ND, mais comme ça je trouve sympa.

Not so scarry Ulrich ! Just lasted a few hours and was contained.

You have captured the water beautifully Isabel. Something I still need to master!

Just look at my settings on the EXIF. They all have the same settings. I lways leave them free to consult because it is a way to learn from others.

My thoughts too - a good way to learn - I always look at the Exif'..particularly with very long exposure night sky shots.. such as stars and galaxies - from Steve Paxton.

Four very dramatic images...........and they all capture the movement and power of the water beautifully. I'm not sure about your favourite but mine is the main image - purely because I prefer the composition!

Wonderfully dynamic shots every one of them Isabel, I can almost hear the water as it rushes over and between the rocks. Your chosen exposure time works very well in this instance.

I was trying to have something that could give the impression of what I was looking at, but with a small touch of softness added. I am not very keen on this long exposure photos, they are beautiful but very artificial, so I tried an in-between.
