Continued personal lockdown (for health reasons) in an overbright city, esp. at night, means that it has now been a long time since I saw stars, let alone a display such as this! And the Milky Way? Last seen by me in Cornwall in 2012!
I hate light pollution!

So do I, therefore I could not live in a city... fortunately I almost always had the choice.

I recall this true event, Isabel.
The manager of my local pub heard me say to friends that "I saw the Milky Way last night from my bedroom window, the only time I have seen it in London". He came over and said, "Don't be ridiculous! You can only see the Milky Way from the Southern Hemisphere!"
I was so surprised (he was 30 years older than me and been in the Navy), that I said, "I bet you £100 that you're wrong!"
He said that it would be the easiest £100 he would earn in his life!
We have an idiom in English which is 'to eat humble pie'. And boy, did he have to eat a lot of it the following day as he handed over the money!!!!
