THIS IS THE BACK OF THE PATIO FROM MY HOUSE IN PENEDOS, A VERY SMALL ISOLATED VILLAGE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE UPHILLS.
WE HAVE A VERY CHARACTERISTIC POPULAR ARCHITECTURE AS I SHOW HERE WITH THE PIPs ABOVE

WALLS ARE NOT ALWAYS STRAIGHT...

AND INSIDE OUR CEILINGS ARE LIKE THIS, MADE TO PROTECT FROM EXTREME COLD IN WINTER AND VERY HIGH TEMPERATURES IN SOMMER AS HERE THEY HAVE A LARGE SPECTRUM, THEY CAN GO FROM 0ºC TO 50ºC
NOW UNDERNEATH THE CANES WE HAVE A VERY HIGH TECH INSULATION BUT BEFORE IT WAS JUST PAPER AND CLAY...

Here, in "the cold north" we always prefer to make holidays in a warm, sunny area like yours here... but now we have to stay in our appartments and balconies .... ;-/

I realize I am very lucky, I can go out because there is almost no-one around and the weather is ok. When I go on holidays I prefer the cold, icy, snowy options... specially in winter time. In Summer I prefer to stay here...
