That's about as close as I'd like to get. Though we were much closer to lions and rhinoceros and cape buffalo, all of which are to be avoided under most circumstances. .

I would have prefered to be closer, or have a 500mm or more lens! I saw him better with my binoculars.

I am not affraid of animals except felines. On another occasion I was really close to a black bear, but it was too dark, dusk, to be able to take a picture when he was 10 m from me.

Non, je suis stupidement pas peureuse, quelques jours plus tard je suis restée à 10m d'un ours brun sur une plage, dommage qu'il faisait presque nuit et que je n'ai rien obtenu photographiquement.
Seuls les félins me font peur...
