Miriam Makeba †10.11.2008, Zulu Song
I'm posting this song for my respectful memory of the great South African Lady Miriam Makeba, who in November 2008 died in the age of 76 years.
A word from the famous Indian film producer Anant Singh:
“We are deeply saddened by the death of Miriam Makeba. She was indeed a legend and an amazing talent and it was an honour and privilege to have worked with her on the film, “Sarafina!”.
We acknowledge the huge role she played in bringing global awareness to African music during the time she lived abroad and she will always be remembered as the mother of African music. Long live the spirit of Mama Afrika!”
