Beside the Hari Rud River in Herat


The Hari Rud River begins 250 km west of Kabul Province, with a length of 1124 km and a catchment area of 112,000 qkm. The river then runs through Herat before turning north, establishing a 160 km political boundary between Afghanistan and Iran.
