4116. Rapids and Lumber Jam on Montreal River, Ontario, on line of Can. Pac. Ry.
Posted January 4, 1909 to Miss Mamie Ells, Queensboro, Ontario: "Dear Cousin, Received your card did not get over to your place nor to the Xmas tree. Tell G. I got her post card did she think I lived at Queensboro from M??? Look in under stamp." The stamp has been removed revealing the message "Was it hard to get off? How is cooking powder?"
The postmark is a split-ring of Rimington, Ont., which is in the County of Hastings a little north of Madoc. Queensboro[ugh] is about 3 miles west of Rimington.
The card has the "dispenser" symbol of the German printer M. Glückstadt & Münden, plus the number 32030 and the number 113238.
