The Admiral Beatty Hotel, Saint John, N.B., Canada.

Published by W. Tremaine Gard & Son, St. John's Oldest Jewellers, Est. 1870. Postmarked Feb. 26, 1947 at Saint John and mailed to Idella Wentworth, Isleboro, Maine, U.S.A.: "Dear Dell, I hope you arrived home save and sound, Love Christine". While the back of the card looks like a RPPC back, it has some logos "Produits Beaux-Arts Products" and "IAF Co. Ltd., Printed in Saxony" that suggest that this was actually a mechanically printed card (as it appears to be).

6140. Chopping Permanent Ice on the Alaska Highway

A great action shot ... appears to be Canadian as it is a "Made in Canada" postcard back.
