Waterfalls
23 Nov 2013
Twin Falls, Yoho Valley, Canadian Rockies (600,145)
Another birthday card dated Aug. 29, 1913. Here it is revealed that the birthday person is Annie's mother. There are separate messages from Horace and Annie. The one from Horace reads: "Thank you very much for the trainload of views from Rotherham. Hope to see them again some-day. Sincerely, from Horace, Montreal, Canada." So the views from Canada are meant to repay the mother's kindness in having sent over views of the young couple's home town in England (Yorkshire). Valentine & Sons no. 600,145.

Pabineau Falls, showing Club House, near Bathurst
First of three cards mailed to Maxine Baumann, Les Saules, Gagny (S & O) France that seem to illustrate how cards were supposed to be sent to France (with stamp on front, and the words POST CARD replaced with the notation "Printed Matter" (and "over" written on the stamp box). This card bears Miss Baumann's ink receipt stamp, including the number 21674. See separate image of the back.
Valentine & Sons no. 102,289.

5002. Pokiok Falls, St. John River, N.B.
Trimmed card, publisher's name probably cut off as a result. Posted at Fredericton October 11, 1906 to Miss Dorothy Nicolas, 322 Gilmour St., Ottawa, Ont.
I believe I read that this waterfall no longer exists due to some sort of change that has been made to the river's course.
