Mountains and mountaineering scenes

Number 260 in the MacFarlane series, this undivided Private Mailing Card was postmarked at Macleod (?), Alberta on February 25, 1904 and mailed to Mrs. R. W. Young, Dumgree, Blenheim, New Zealand. "Would it hurt you to write a *little oftener*"?

No. 60 in the Harmon & Dixon series, showing Mt. Rundle at Banff. This was a sample card showing off the results of the Albertype Co.'s "Sepia-Delft" process (see text on back).

Postmarked in November 1906 at Winnipeg to Miss Lunn, Hambledon Cottage, Droxford, Hants, G.B. and co-branded with the C.P.R. This is Valentine & Sons card n. 100,445.

"One of the places I did not visit." To Mrs A. Proctor Atkinson, 140 Marchmont Road, Edinburgh, Scotland.

Not posted. Letter as follows: "Dear Alice, I am glad that you like the P. Cards. I will find a nice one for Lil + Harry when I go to town. I am still engineer of the Hoist + expect to get quite a cheque for this month. Yours with Love, Charlie."

This one is quite convincing as a "colour photograph", even though it's really monochrome with colour subsequently applied.
