Mailed May 23, 1914 from the Sault (Ont.) to P. Sanger, Trenton, Mich. with the note: "In Dry town where they only play Rum & Crib for a whole week. Be home Monday."

Card by Novelty Manufacturing & Art Printing Co. of Montreal. Likely 1920s. Numbered 425 and 49024 in the stamp box. Unused. Showing the U.S. side of the locks so the reference to Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario seems slightly misleading.

N. Co. card. Postmarked October 22, 1907 at Hamilton, Ont., addressed to Miss A. M. Bex, 93 Avondale Rd., Sth Croydon, Surrey, England: "21/10/07 Thanks for P.P.C. Dear M. This is the Boat I went on to see Grace. It is called "Alberta". It is a very nice ship + the dinner was great. Had a nice trip. Left Grace well + all the rest. Good bye for now. Your Loving Bro, Harry"

Card 2097 for M. Denman of Sault Ste. Marie. Nice double view showing the original lock and the modern lock "largest in the world".

Postmarked Steelton (the Algoma Steel company town that is now just the west end of Sault Ste. Marie) on August 21, 1907, to Dumbarton, Ont. The message reads: "Ma is helping me. Steelton, Ont., Aug. 18, 1907 My Dear Cousin B. Excuse me for not writing before, but I have been busy looking for some flowers and will send you some later. How is Auntie and Gramma. We are well. Kisses for you. Love, Hilda." To Miss Beatrice ??, Dumbarton, Ont., Hill Crest.

Posted at the Sault, September 25, 1905 to Miss Pearl Menzies, 130 Jameson Avenue, Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, with the message: "My address is still "Soo" Ontario. Thought perhaps you had forgotten it. Maud." Credit to G. N. Bartlett is hard to see but is in the water at lower right.

Private Post Card by J. J. Taylor, Publisher, Sault Ste. Marie, Can. with a notation that it was "Printed in Belgium" and the scribbled messages: "Now in Canada. Been having a boat ride, Harvey" and "A lonesome city. A fine day for the boat trip. H." The date on the front appears to be 6/9/08.
