One of the less interesting looking "Government Agent" cards, showing the successful farm of Benjamin Holden at Indian Head, circa 1905. The card is unused.

I believe there are two scenes of this farm in the Government Agent series. Deleau is on Highway 2, about 15 miles west of Souris.

A lively and orderly looking farm at Glencross (misspelled on the card), a post office that closed in 1909 but which is still on maps on 25W-8N about four miles southwest of the City of Winkler, Manitoba.

This is what is known as Armstrongs Point, south west of the City. This is all frozen over now. Thermometer Reg[isters] 27 deg. of frost tonight. The Ice is about 18" thick; it will average 4 + 5 ft. You see the Cross on the picture. This is Miss Spence's house made fully modern this spring. We have done the painting. The picture shows the River fully 15 ft. above the ordinary level." This message is across the entire back so there is no indicate of sender's or recipient's names. On the front is noted, "These Photos were printed in England". No indication of the publisher. It is an undivided back card.

Stedman Bros. (Brantford and Winnipeg) card no. G. W. R. 4822, addressed to Mr. E. Blakeman, Demaine P.O., Sask. with a short letter from Sid. Appears to be a Stedman Series 9, unrecorded by Smith.
