The "Grange," Home of the late Prof. Goldwin Smith
Unused card in the oval-textured series by Valentine & Sons. No number visible. Prof. Goldwin Smith was a great English Victorian intellectual who was famous worldwide and considered (as a Toronto resident) a great adornment to the status of Toronto at the time. The Grange is now part of the Art Gallery of Ontario.

Yes, these are Valentine & Sons printed in Great Britain, so they would likely have been manufactured at the same place as the Queensburys. I'm not sure where I put the Queensburys so I can't check at the moment!

Actually I'm hundreds of cards behind in my filing, so they're in a stack on the bed. One of the stacks on the bed.

I just filed away at least 150. I had to buy more of the little filing drawers to accommodate all the new provinces in my collection. For a long time, I had Winnipeg, Manitoba Towns, Saskatchewan and Other. Now I've got one for each province, plus a separate one for Toronto. This is growing rather complicated.

The Queensbury cards are by Feather & Son, Queensbury. As I believe we discussed before, they were mailed to No. 1 New Park Road, Queensbury, which you were going to nip out and photograph for me!
