Though there were breaks in the cloud, a storm front was rolling in.

Through the mist and the cloud, the Pelee Passage Light marks the shoals and the turning point for the only safe passage past the point at the southern end of Lake Erie. A lot of tonnage depends on this... While this is now converted to an automated stick light , the original iron plate lighthouse which stood on the base casson can be seen in it's retirement placement at Lakeview Marina, on Riverside Drive in Windsor.

Now a community center for a private campground, the old harbour light has a lot more character!

These modern "light on a stick" lights are rather boring...
