I'd shared this image with the following challenge;

Spotted high on the walls of the former headquarters of the Royal Bank of Canada, built in 1928 down on St-Jacques St. in Old Montreal.
A challenge to my Canadian colleagues ( or anyone who's up to it!)
->> Name the twelve shields <<-
... some are easy, others not - remember the building was built in 1928

The provinces are fairly easy - some changes to the current versions of their shields, but similar enough to be identifiable:

1) Labrador/Newfoundland

3) Quebec
4)New Brunswick

6) Nova Scotia
7) Prince Edward Island
8) Alberta
9) Manitoba
10) Saskatchewan
11) Ontario
12) British Columbia

... the two oddities are #2 and #5

2) City of Halifax?
5) City of Montreal?

... Montreal makes sense - as that's where the Canadian Headquarters was located...
... and the bank was founded in 1864 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.... thus the Halifax shield.
