She looks like a nice lady.:-) we used to bake a lot of these when the children were small.

Every Christmas I bake them with my youngest daughter.
We made also houses,tents, cars or whatever

Did you have the "Gingerbread Man" story there growing up? It was a heartbreaking story of a gingerbread cookie. (I never cried so much in my life!)

I read it as a kid, a very sad story for me too

Hi Wierd, they read this story to my son's class in pre-school (age 4) and he was so upset afterwards just as I had been as a child. I told him we could rewrite the ending to make it a happy one for the little cookie. I wonder about so many of the cruel stories we all grew up with?
