made as a focus practise before M. Leijonstedt's longstitch class

Have tried punching holes with the Japanese hole puncher (aka Japanese book drill). Nice tool, although I need to get things straight. Ha

The falkirk wheel. Whoah man its massive ye hearday it? No really a wheel at all like dudes nope nope, more like em this lift? this creane? this winch? that sits outside camelon waitin waitin waaaaaaitin hands on its knees bored till oh! A boat! And the falkirk wheel goes huf lifts the boat rotates bighuge arms and carries the boat from like the union canal (that comes from embra) to like the forthandclyde canal (that comes from glesga) cradles the boat from canal to canal then - egh! Drops it. No even a splash just: rippleripple. Ooh thanks goes the boat, no problem says the huge falkirk wheel standin proudbighonest gainst the grey falkirk sky, hands on hips big giant. Like galactus out the silversurfer comics. It salutes the boats, and the peeps of falkirk? They sleep well. Alan Bissett
