Auf der Suche nach der verlorenen Zeit…
Zwischen all den fein hergerichteten Fachwerkhäusern in Blaubeuren (Schwäbische Alb) fand ich dieses Rudiment vergangener Zeiten. Noch kein Lost Place, wie die Blumen in der oberen Fensterreihe signalisieren. Hat wohl aber nicht so ganz in die Gegend gepasst; immerhin hat man die Aufschrift (noch) nicht übertüncht. Irgendwie fiel mir beim Vorbeigehen der Begriff ‚Blühende Landschaften‘ ein. Allerdings nicht dort gelegen, wo man diese gemeinhin vermutet.

At first glance the whole building seems deserted and derelict, but as you point out the flowers in the upstair windows suggest someone is still living there, above whatever was on the ground floor (maybe a restaurant)?

You've captured this in superb, grungy detail, broken by the splashes of blue colour. A splendid example of urban decay!
