I remember you saying you were going away, just as the virus got very nasty in Europe. How did you cope? How easy was it to get back? Are you in quarantine in Tenerife??? A fine shot anyway!

When we got back there was only one cluster in a Hotel in Teneriffa and the flights back were still normally. We heard about a very serious situation in Madrid but not on the Canaries in this moment. The lockdown in Germany also started later: so we had a lot of luck and get off in the last days it was possible without any problems.

Ich bin 1985 hinaufgefahren. Es war schon eine große Herausforderung an den Kreislauf - in verhältnismäßig kurzer Zeit von quasi NN auf 3.555 m. Es wurde darauf hingewiesen, dass man sich langsam bewegen soll. Ich bückte mich nach einem kleinen Stein als Souvenir, da packte mich ein starker Schwindel...

I was convinced that the summit of Spain was in the Pyrenees (Pico Aneto, 3,404 m)! But it's true that Spain isn't just a peninsula!
The texture of the foreground brush as much as the misty blue that bathes the Pico del Teide are a pure delight, a pure escape. The drought and sunshine that floods this site are striking, captured in this way, with this beautiful contrast. Congratulations.

Ich liebe diese Insel, und der "Nationalpark Teide" ist einfach faszinierend! Im "Teide-Guide" steht ein schöner Satz: "Nie war eine trostlose Landschaft so bezaubernd" - wie wahr!
