Frankfurt - West Port Tower

The West Port Tower was built in 2004. it has an height of 110 m. Interesting is the rhomboid facade structure of the surface which is build with about 3500 triangular panes of glass. It reminds of the structure of a typical Frankfurtian cider glass. So the people call it ' das Gerippte' ( the Rhombic )

Liegt immer ein bißchen am jeweiligen Lichteinfall und am Blickwinkel. Hier war's am Morgen; mit entsprechendem Sonnenstand. Und die Bearbeitung verstärkt den Effekt noch ein bißchen.
